We draft with AI because it is fast. Then we check every guide before it goes up. Here is who writes them, how we check them, and what we never publish.

01Who writes them
One name on every guide.
- Joseph Gomez is the only byline. He founded Paper St and publishes every guide.
- The line under his name is true for each guide. “Written by Joseph Gomez” means he read every word.
- Every other guide says AI drafted it. It names what the draft was built from: our own notes, or the public sources listed at its end.
Google suggests the same: an accurate byline, and a note on how a page was made. Sources: people-first content · AI-generated content, 2023.
02How we check them
Checked by someone other than the writer.
- The drafter never grades its own work. Separate checkers read every guide before it goes up.
- Every number links to its source. A checker opens each source and confirms the number and its wording.
- Every guide adds something new. A worksheet, a checked-source table, a worked example or a line from our own work. If we can’t name it, the guide doesn’t go up.
- Every guide passes a readability check. Short sentences, big type, one idea at a time.
- Joseph approves guides before they go live. At a higher pace he reads 1 in 5 at random, plus any guide the checkers disagreed on.
03What we never publish
What we will not publish.
- Made-up experience. A line about our own work is never invented.
- “Best tools” lists. We never rank ourselves or name a vendor as the best.
- Many pages for 1 question. Each question gets 1 guide, updated when the answer changes.
- Numbers we can’t trace. If we can’t find the study, we say so, or leave the number out.
