01Two ways we work

Two prices. Two kinds of work.

IntegrationsYou rent it

Connect software that only gives you a login.

Some software has no open door: no API, no export, just a login. We build the bridge, host it, and keep it working when that software changes. Then its data reaches the rest of your business, where AI can use it.

One-time build: from $10,000

Monthly upkeep: from $1,000 a month

Upkeep covers hosting, fixes when their software changes, and a report every month. It is billed in advance, starting the day it goes live. One flat price, however many locations you have. Month to month, no long contract.

What’s included, and why rent
  • One closed system, connected to the rest of your business. The $10,000 build covers data flowing one way.
  • When the maker changes their software and it breaks, we fix it. That is in your upkeep.
  • A one-page report every month: every run, every failure, every fix.
  • Your data stays yours. Stop with 30 days' notice and we hand it back.

Why rent? Closed software changes when its maker decides, not when you do. Someone has to watch it every month. Your upkeep pays for that, for hosting, and for the right to use our code. We keep the code and reuse what we learn. That is why the build is priced from $10,000.

Data flowing both ways, or a system with extra locks? We quote it higher, in writing. Before you pay anything, we check we can get in.

Custom buildsYours once paid

Your apps. One view.

When the numbers live in ten places, nobody sees the whole business at once. We build the one view, on accounts in your name. With those numbers in one place, AI can see the business, not just one app.

One-time build: from $15,000

Care plan: optional, 20% of the build a year

Bigger builds get a fixed price after a free scope.

What’s included, and why this price
  • Small build: apps that already share their data (an API or an export), in one live view, for one business.
  • Every location: each location's apps in one live view, with your own screens and logins if you need them.
  • A written list of what ‘done’ means, agreed before we start.
  • Code, accounts and data in your name. Yours once it's paid in full.
  • One of your apps closed? That link is priced as an integration.

Why this price: $15,000 covers up to 75 hours of careful work at our one rate, $200 an hour. Most of that is finishing, not starting. Your written scope shows the hours, the costs and our margin.

The care plan is paid monthly. On a $15,000 build, that is $3,000 a year, or $250 a month.

No fake discounts. No intro prices. The number in your written scope is the number you pay.

02Who owns what

Why you own one and rent the other.

When we build on apps that have an open door, the whole build is yours once it's paid for. There is nothing to rent.

When we connect to software someone else owns and keeps closed, the connection only works while someone keeps up with their changes. That someone is us. So we keep the code, and you rent it.

Who owns what, custom build compared with integration

The codeYours once paid in full.Ours, and you rent it.
Your data and accountsYours, on both, from day one. We never sell your data or share your customers.
If you stopYou keep all of it, running on your accounts. We switch it off and hand your data back in a standard format.

Our own tools and methods stay ours on both. That's how we keep making them better.

03How it works

Four steps, with the dollars.

  1. Step 1

    Tell us what you run.

A short form. Pick a budget range so we can point you the right way. Free, about 2 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Get a written scope and a fixed price.

Free. Before you pay anything, we check we can get into your software.

  3. Step 3

    Pay half to start.

    On a $15,000 build, that's $7,500. Then we build.

  4. Step 4

Pay the rest when it works.

We check it together against the ‘done’ list from step 2, on your real data. Then you pay the other $7,500. On an integration, monthly upkeep starts that day.

The agreement, both sides

Our side

A fixed price. It only changes if you ask for more, and you see that price in writing first. Everything in your name, except the integration code you rent.

04Owning an integration

Want to own an integration instead of renting it?

Most people who ask want one thing: to know it keeps working if something happens to us. Start there.

  1. 1

    Escrow

    Start here

A neutral escrow company holds a current copy of the code. If we close, or stop keeping it working, they release it to you. Then you, or anyone you hire, can run it.

Passed on at cost: about $2,600 the first year, then about $1,600 a year.

2Your own copy

One-time price: 36 times your monthly upkeep. At $1,000 a month, that is $36,000, or 3 years of fees. You get the full code and the right to use it in your own business for good.

It is not exclusive, and you can't resell it. Hosting and fixing move to you, or keep us on a care plan. Without upkeep it will likely break the next time that software changes.

Why 36: 3 years of your upkeep, paid once. We’ll show you the math.

Exclusive ownership: from $500,000, quoted one at a time. We never offer that code again.

Escrow, a copy, or exclusive. We'll tell you which one fits.

05What we promise

What we promise, and what we don't.

  • The price is the priceThe price in your written scope is what you pay. If the work in that scope takes us longer, that cost is ours.
  • Second half when it worksYou pay the other half only when every line on the ‘done’ list passes on your real data.
  • Nothing new without your yesWant something added? We price it first, in writing, at the same $200 an hour. You say yes or no.
  • Your data, alwaysIt's yours. If you leave, you get it back in a standard format.
  • Steady upkeepYour monthly upkeep doesn't change for the first 12 months. After that, any change comes in writing 60 days ahead, with the reason.
  • If a bill goes unpaidIf an upkeep bill goes 14 days unpaid, we pause the integration. It starts again once the bill is paid.
  • If we're locked outIf a software maker locks us out for good, we tell you that week and stop charging upkeep.

What we don't promise: sales numbers or growth. We promise that what's on the ‘done’ list works.

06How we price

What makes a build cost more.

  • The hours the work takes
  • ×
  • our one rate, $200 an hour
  • +
  • hosting and tools at cost
  • +
  • our margin
  • =your price

Your written scope shows every line.

What moves the hours
  • How many apps.
  • Whether each one has an open door (an API or an export) or only a login.
  • How many locations.
  • How messy the data is.
  • Whether you need your own screens and logins.
  • Data flowing one way, or both ways.

Budget under $10,000 for an integration, or under $15,000 for a custom build? We'll tell you kindly that we're not the right fit yet.

07See it

See one before you buy one.

On past sites and portals, a working preview came within a day or two. Closed software runs on its maker's clock, often weeks or months.

08Straight answers

You might be thinking one of these.

Why pay every month for something I paid to build?
Because it plugs into software neither of us controls, and that software keeps changing. A connection nobody watches breaks quietly. Your upkeep pays us to watch it, fix it and host it. It also pays for the right to use our code. Your monthly report shows the work. Custom builds have no required monthly fee. Their care plan is optional.
Why half up front?
So we both have skin in the game. The second half is due only when every line on the ‘done’ list passes on your real data. One rule for slow access. If the software's maker, or your team, holds up access for 30 days, we bill the lines that pass. We bill the rest when access comes back.
Do you take a cut of my sales?
Almost never. You pay a fixed price for the build, plus fixed monthly upkeep on integrations. A share of sales is a rare trade, only with large, established companies.
$10,000 or more is a lot for a few apps.
It sounds like you've seen it done for less, and sometimes it can be. If your apps already talk to each other and a do-it-yourself tool can do the job, use it. It's cheaper, and we'll say so on the scope call. We're worth it when your apps don't share on their own, or when the data needs cleaning before anyone can trust it.
Can you do a smaller version for less?
No. Below $10,000 for an integration, or $15,000 for a custom build, we can't do this work well, and we'd rather tell you now.
What if the job runs over?
Then it's our cost, not yours. Your price only goes up if you ask for more, and you see that price in writing first.

09Next step

Would it hurt to see your price in writing?

Tell us what you run. You get a written scope and a fixed price. It's free, and there's no pressure to say yes. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so and point you somewhere useful.
